Born October 18, 1921, Brooklyn, New York. Cornell University graduate. Served with the 87th Infantry Regiment of the 10th Mountain Division. Wounded on Mount Della Vedetta, Italy. After the war moved to Denver, Colorado. Worked for Strick Trailers from 1955 to 1966. In 1967 he and a partner bought a Coors distributorship. Retired in 1983. The 10th Mountain Division, a full division of the United States Army, specializing in mountain and winter warfare, trained at Camp Hale, Colorado, during World War II. Experienced in skiing, mountaineering and cold-weather survival as well as military tactics, the soldiers fought enemy forces in the Italian Campaign of 1945.
